"What do you think? Does it suit me?" I ask the second I step out of my room, fidgeting with my necklace.

I'm wearing a red peplum halter dress that goes just an inch above my knees and to say that the dress is pretty is an understatement. I totally love it!

"Oh my god, Lauren! You're so beautiful!" Gillian's hand flies to her mouth whilst looking at me as though I was a totally different person. "Nicky will fall in love you all over again, for sure!"

I smile at her. "Thanks, Gill. Do you think he will like it?"

Not that I'm not confident with how I look. It's just that I'm extra conscious right now especially that I'm going out on a date with my very good-looking boyfriend! We've been together for nearly 3 years now and since then, lots of things have happened in our relationship. There's loads of distractions and whatnot but we've managed to get through all of it.

He's become even busier with Westlife and I, on the other hand, have been so focused on my studies since I started schooling at University of West London. It's so sad that we don't see each other that much now unlike before.

But tonight, we're going to have a date! I still feel nervous even though we've done this a few times before. I still get that crazy feeling when I'm with him. He's just too good to be true that I can't help but feel so lucky to have Nicky in my life. I know a lot of girls would die to be in my place right now.

But sorry girls, he's already taken.

Gillian eyes me from head to toe. "Of course he wil like itl! Right, Vogue?!"

I spot Vogue sitting down on the couch whilst giggling at something on her phone. When she hears Gillian mention her name, she looks up impulsively and says, "Did you just say something, Gill?"

I roll my eyes. Gillian does too. She's always not paying attention.

"Who are you texting with?" Gill pokes her in the ribs causing her to jolt back.

"Oh c'mon Gill, I'm just texting with my... with my old friend because it's already been a long time since we last talked!" Vogue replies defensively.

"Whatever you say," we both say in unison.

"Just mind your own business!" Vogue hisses.

I glance at Gillian and give her a knowing look. We both perfectly know who she is texting with. It's Bryan, for sure. They've been hanging out a lot lately and Gillian once caught them holding hands in a not-so-friendly way. Sure something is up with these two secret lovers whether they tell us or not. Maybe they're not just yet ready to appear in front of the public as lovers.

Vogue became one of my friends because of Westlife. I can still remember the day I first saw her at the St. Stephen's Green in Dublin and she nearly got me and Nicky in trouble if only we hadn't managed to escape from the fans. When Westlife launched their second album, she'd been attending to almost every gigs and CD signing sessions. Did I not know that she was actually nice until I decided to have a decent conversation with her and then voila, we eventually became good friends!

To be honest, I'm so happy for her and Bryan. They will make a good couple!

"Keep hiding your secrets, girl. We already know who you are texting with, anyway," Gill mumbles.

"You can't be so sure Gi--"

The doorbell rings, cutting Vogue midsentence. Relief washes over her face for we have no choice but to drop the topic, for now. Gillian opens the door to my apartment and in comes Mark wearing a black suit.

"Good evening ladies, I'm here to fetch Lauren if that's okay with you."

"What is this all about?" I query
