Moving to a new state wasn't as easy I thought it would be. The place I was staying at was.. okay. Scratch that it wasn't okay. It was far from okay.

I always wanted the good things in life and this flat I was staying at was far from that. I probably sound over dramatic because I don't like this place I'm staying at but this is how I feel after leaving everything I've worked hard for behind because of my father's deals with other people.

Putting away the last piece of underwear I brought with me, I was finally done unloading.

I looked around the place and realized I had to get out of here before I loose my mind. I didn't come out ever since I moved in because I was too paranoid, thinking some of my father's men went after me.

I do hope they didn't though.

Taking my wallet and coat with me, I left my flat. I didn't know where to go since I've never been to Wisconsin before so I decided to go to the Diner which was just beside my apartment building.

The bell rang as I opened the door which made a lady around her forty's turn to me and smile.

"Well hello there! Welcome to Lotty's diner!" She greets as I took a seat on the stool.

"Uhm, hi, uhm what's good around here?"

She grins and continues wiping the counter, "Well the original recipe of Lotty's Meal is the in demand meal in this diner."

She winks and turns to probably do something diner related.

"Oh." I say to no one in particular and stare at the menu.

I didn't realize how hungry I was until the lady served a plate of bacon and eggs, hashbrowns and waffles with a cup of coffee.

"So miss have you decided what you wanted?" The lady asks as she stands in front of me.

"I'll have the Lotty Meal, please." I hear the guy sitting beside me choke a little which made me turn to glare at him.

"Alright, would you want coffee or hot chocolate with it?"

"Hot chocolate."

"Alright then." She goes to the door to the kitchen then yells my order to probably the cook at the kitchen and returns to stand in front of me.

"So where are you from?" She asks.

"Pardon?"

"Where are you from? You're not a regular so I assume you're not from around here." She says as she wipes the plates from behind the counter.

"Umm, I'm from... Uh, Boston. Yeah, Boston, you know?"

"Really?" She raises an eyebrow at me
as if sensing that I was lying.

Was I really that bad of a liar for her to notice I was lying?

"Yeah I'm from Boston, I just moved here a few days ago, I live in the apartment beside this diner."

"That's lovely! Are you looking for a job then?"

I shook my head and gave her a small smile.

"As of now not yet."

"Well if you decide you want a job, you can always talk to Aunt Lotty yeah?"

"Who's Aunt Lotty?"

"Me." She says with a smile.

"Oh, well it's lovely to meet you Lotty?" I said offering my hand.

"Call me Lotty or Aunt Lotty or Auntie Lotty whatever you want, and you are?" She takes my hand and shakes it before pulling it away to resume with wiping the mugs this time.
