Working in a coffee shop definitely wasn't Reagan Parker's favorite pastime. Unfortunately it was the only job available for him at the moment. What he really wanted to do was be an author, but his father kept saying that wasn't ever going to happen.

"Hey, Hiccup!" A coworker snickered at Reagan while going in the back of the shop to their own station. Reagan simply groaned and continued to fill a cup with a previously ordered expresso. He had been nicknamed 'Hiccup' after his terrible case of Hiccups the first day on the job. He hated the nickname but honestly he couldn't do much about it.

After giving the current customer their beverage, a familiar, short, blond haired girl leaned against the cashier's counter. "I'll take a Cappuccino, Hic." She grinned, knowing the nickname bugged him.

"Cash or Credit..." He muttered under his breath. "And don't call me that... You know I don't like it..."

"Cash." She responded while handing him the money." And that's exactly why I use it." Camicazi crossed her arms and smiled cheekily. "You know, some people think it's kinda cute."

"Oh yeah? Like who?"

"Definitely not me." She responded, perhaps too quickly. "It's uh... Way too ridiculous for my tastes. Besides, boys are stupid." Cami noted.

"Not all of us." Reagan countered while crossing his arms. "Hey, didn't you say that your mom works for that publisher now?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Because I was thinking... Perhaps if I sent them the transcript of my book, maybe they'd like it..."

"Oh I see what you're doing."

"What do you mean?"

"Your trying to get me to hook you up with people. Well there's only one way I'm doing that boyo!" Camicazi defended but paused for dramatic effect. "You've gotta admit that Girls are better than boys and will always be." She smiled.

"Dream on, Sunshine." Reagan grinned back while leaning on his counter.

"Ugh. Fine, I'll hook you up with someone anyway... But only because of what a nice, amazing, generous person I am. You owe me!" She huffed while grabbing her drink and going out the door.

Perhaps working at a stupid coffee shop for the time being wasn't all that bad. After all, he still had the opportunity to see his favorite customer.
