Charlie POV

"I don't think we should tell her." I heard my mom say.

" She has the right to know." My dad said.

I walked downstairs to find out was happening.

"We have kept it from her for this long, we can do it for a little while longer." My mom said.

"She deserves to know that we aren't her real parents." My dad said.

I stood there shocked. This had to be a lie. This had to be a sick joke.

"She deserves to know where her brother lives as well." My dad said.

"No. She doesn't need to know." My mom insisted.

I walked in the room and looked at them with a blank expression on my face.

" How much of that did you hear sweetie?" My dad asked me.

" All of it. Please tell me that this is a sick joke of some kind." I said.

" I'm sorry Charlie but it is true. I wanted to tell you sooner but your mom wouldn't let me." My dad said to me.

" What happened to my real parents?" I asked.

" They had two children already and you came as a surprise. They couldn't afford two so they had to give you up." My dad explained.

" Can I have my brothers address?" I asked my dad.

" Yes. Here is the only picture of you and him together." My dad gave me the picture.

He then wrote down the address.

"Please stay." My mom begged.

" I have to meet my brother. Heck, if he likes me I might even move in with him." I told them.

" Go on and pack your things. Live your life." My dad told me.

" Thanks." I told him as I hugged him.

I ran up to my room and threw everything into my suitcase. I grabbed my bag and put my phone, purse and earplugs inside it.

I zipped up my coat and walked downstairs with my suitcase and bag.

I hugged my mom and dad.

" I'll try to stay in touch." I told them.

" Have a safe journey. We love you." My mom and dad said. I opened the door, waved goodbye and was off on my journey to find my brother.

I arrived at the train station and was immediately met with an ocean of people.

I fought my way through the crowd of people and then reached my train. I got on the train and it was just about to leave when I spotted a tall guy running towards the train.

I stood from my seat and shouted at the conductor.

" Stop. Wait for him."

The conductor listened and stopped the train from leaving.

The guy got on the train and sat next to me.

" Thanks. Not many people would have done that." The guy told me.

" No problem. My name is Charlie, what's yours?" I said holding my hand our for him to shake.

He shock my hand and said

"My name is Dan. Nice to meet you."

"Where are you heading?" He asked me.

" London. What about you?" I asked him.
