The Stone That Ended Everything

Chapter 3: The Result

Just a couple minutes after Baekhyun's screams stopped, Chanyeol was next. The same hallucination happening to him. Baekhyun took the stone from his hand, worried he might injure himself with it, but it didn't help. It just made the matter worse. Both of them screaming with agony and fear, holding their ears as if a sound will pierce through their brain that could kill them. But then, only silence could be heard. Everything stopped.

Time had stopped. The pain has stopped. And so did the relationship of Baekhyun and Chanyeol..

Chanyeol had been laying down in bed, unconscious for the past 3 days from the incident. A single memory not rendering through his brain from 3 days ago. His coma prevented him from going to school, but that didn't matter anyways

Since he lived in America at this point in time

Baekhyun, had been at school, petrified about what happened. He remembered everything very clearly. The hallucinations, the sharp ringing in his ear, even Chanyeol.

No one had remembered him, he walked up to Kai and was just pushed out of the way. 'Why is he acting like that..' Baekhyun thought before spotting Kyungsoo and Luhan. "Guys! Why is Kai acting so weird? It's like he isn't even my friend.." Baek mumbled to the two before widening his eyes at their response.

"And who are you..?"

"It's me, Baekhyun, your best friend of 3 years! Why are you guys acting weird today..?" Baek said slowly, but still shocked. "W-we aren't friends Baekhyun...y-you humiliated me in front of Sehun, why would I want to be your friend?" Luhan said quietly, but you can hear the heartbreak and anger in his words. "Yah, that was 3 years ag--" "That was last week, Byun. Now leave us alone.." Kyungsoo said as he cut off Baekhyun and walked away with Luhan by his side.

'Last week? It was 3 years ago...' He thought before quickly taking someone's phone to check the date.

"February 28, 2012"

"2013?! What the fuck!" Baekhyun yelled, his voice echoing throughout the halls of the school. His mind was everywhere at that point. He didn't have any friends back then, his only friend was his piano.  Then something clicked in his mind that nearly ripped his heart in half. "Chanyeol..."

~~1 Week Later~~

Baekhyun suffered the past week alone, going back to his old self from the past. Why was Baekhyun the only one who remembered everything from 2015? He even remembered the stones that Chanyeol was looking for in the forest. 'Wait a minute.. The stone!' He thought as he stood up abruptly from his seat in class. "Mr. Byun, care to sit down please? Class has started." Mr. Lee, his teacher, said. Baekhyun just walked out of class, not saying a word. He walked down the hall, determined to get to the forest. 'That fucking stone took me back 3 years.. I'm not going to suffer any lon--'  his thoughts got cut off as he fell from bumping into someone. "Y-yah, watch where you're going!" Baekhyun said while dusting himself off. "Ah, I'm so sorry.." The other male said.

That voice...it can't be..

Baekhyun looked up and saw him, Chanyeol.

He couldn't do anything but just hug the taller, silently crying in his shirt.

Chanyeol didn't move or push the smaller away. It just wasn't the kind of person he was. Rubbing his back and just humming seemed to work from his point of view, but for Baekhyun, he is still suffering. Baek knows that Chanyeol wasn't his boyfriend at this time, he knew that he didn't have any friends, he was just alone.

"I-I know that you're crying, but who are you..?"

Ah right...Chanyeol transferred from America. He was completely new and Baek was his first friend.

"I'm B-Baekhyun"

'Your one and only love'

"Baekhyun...cute name for a cute face." Chanyeol said with a small smirk, attempting to cheer up the younger.

Ah, those words. Baekhyun loved those words from Chanyeol. It always made him feel special inside towards the taller. Even when they were together, he would still say it because he knew that Baekhyun loved it so much.

"Y-yah, don't be nice just because I'm crying.." Baekhyun laughed breathlessly as he wiped his tears from his puffed eyes.

"It's not being nice, it's called the truth"

'ASDFGHJKL!'

"You're tall Yoda... Want a tour of the school?" Baekhyun asked.

"Why not? It would be a pleasure to be escorted throughout the school with such a beautiful creature."

'I'm dying..yep! I'm dead!!"

Baekhyun's blush just amused Chanyeol even more. "Heh, O-okay...lets go!"

Walking through the halls with Chanyeol made Baekhyun feel at ease again, as if nothing changed. The usual stares and giggles from the girls towards Chanyeol still caused the smaller to get jealous. The taller noticed that Baekhyun had shot glares at people staring at them, but it never bothered him. It made him feel wanted, or at least a little wanted.

"Here is the Cafeteria, but you won't need to eat here.."

'Shit...what did I do?!'

"And why not?"

'Fuck Fuck Fuck...'

"B-because...you should eat with me on the roof. More beautiful, calming, and not as loud"

"Hmm...sounds like you're trying to keep me to yourself.."

"Y-yah! Am n-not!"

'Holy fuck...'

That was Baekhyun's last thought before he was pressed against the wall, Chanyeol's forehead against his. The taller's breath touching Baekhyun's lips ever so lightly. Without even thinking, Baekhyun wrapped his arms around the other's neck and bit his lip.

"C-Chanyeol..~" A mewl escaped from Baekhyun's lips

"Baek..?"

Baekhyun quickly pulled his arms back and blushed deeply, managing to escape Chanyeol's embrace.

"I-I'm so sorry.. It was out of h-habit.."

"So I'll see you at lunch then..?" Chanyeol asked, his fingers lingering over Baekhyun's jawline.

"Y-yeah... At lunch.."

Chanyeol nodded and gave a wink and a smirk to the smaller before leaving him on the roof. It was his first day and he's already hitting on someone.

"Fuck.." They both said from different sides of the school. These next few days definitely won't be easy for Baekhyun..
