I picked up my phone off the bedside table, still half-asleep because of my late-night escapade. I squinted at the bright screen.

My mind was completely blank; I had no idea whatsoever what she was on about.

Slowly, I picked up my phone and held it above me while I still lay in bed to type. I can assure you that it may sound simple but in fact it's a very difficult task.

I was so shocked, I lost all grip on my phone and it fell onto my face. It was pretty painful.

alexis wtf how could u have FORGOTTEN?! THE CANTEEN? Teenage dirtbag?? Remember???
It all came flooding back to me. I had asked Alex to play Teenage Dirtbag but Luke had said that Bryony, Alex and I could come and watch them this weekend instead.
It had seemed like a good idea to me at the time but now, after the events from yesterday night with Luke? Not so much. I really wasn't ready to see him so soon. I had no idea how he would react and what he would say and it would be so awkward.

Why?
I hesitated. As good friends as Alex and Bryony may be to me, I wasn't sure if I wanted to tell them about my trip to the graveyard last night because it would mean explaining my encounter with Luke and I would probably end up accidentally telling them about Luke's dead twin sister. And that wasn't my information to share. Besides, if Bry and Alex found out that I had visited Finn again, they would probably worry about me and try and give me counselling talks because they would assume that I still haven't gotten over him (because I haven't.) I could do without all that fuss thank you.
Rather than explain all this to a very persuasive Alex, I gave in. I was going to have to see Luke soon anyway and he might think that I was avoiding him. (Which I would be but he doesn't need to know.)
