Elsa opened her eyes slowly as the adjust to her dark surroundings. Did I sleep all day? Elsa turned to her left and looks to where Jack had knelt beside her bed.

I will stay right here until you wake up...

Elsa emerged from her bed carefully so she didn't make too much noise. She snuck over to the window and noticed it open just ajar. Elsa could feel the cold nipping at her face through the crack. She opened the window just enough so she could look outside. Outside in the courtyard not a sound was made. It looked like it had snowed recently because there was a fresh blanket everywhere. Elsa always loved when if was dark with fresh snow. The night almost stopped all together to enjoy a sound of endless bliss in silence.

Elsa went over to her desk and saw a new drawing in her notebook. It looked like a very bad picture of a treasure map made with crayons. It looked like Jack wanted her to go out her window, and into the woods. Elsa turned and quickly ran to get her winter jacket back to the window. Very carefully, Elsa got on top of the window ledge. She looked down suddenly terrified of the drop below. Taking a big breathe, Elsa leaped from the ledge, slid down the roof, and fell to the snow beneath. The snow was soft and Elsa thought if she had stayed there long enough she would have melted right into it. She got up, brushed herself off and bolted into the woods fallowing the map with the feeling of excitement and curiosity.

Why would Jack do our training all the way out here?

Elsa reaches the end of the wood where there was a peak of moonlight in the distance. She emerged from the trees. Elsa gasped. In front of her was a gleaming ice pond. The moon was so high and bright tonight that you could see the sparkle in the snow. On the pond, skating around like a mad man was no other than Jack. His white hair shined like the freshly falling snow, he was a graceful swan. Jack turned and a bigger grin stretched across his face when he saw her. Elsa ran over but stopped just as she approached the pond and frowned. Jack flew over to her, and as soon as their eyes met his face fell.

"What's wrong Elsa? I thought you would be happy about training?"

Elsa looked down at her feet. "That's not the problem. I am excited for the training but I was hoping you would have taken this more seriously." Elsa looked up at Jack with glossy eyes. "I'm cursed, it's my curse. We are not the same. You bring joy to people and children everywhere..."

"Mama! Papa! Come help!"

"Elsa, what have you done!"

"Where comes great power also comes great danger."

A tear escapes from Elsa's eye and feels the shivering salt water trickle down her face. "...where I just hurt everyone I love and care for." Elsa meets Jack's eyes once again to see him staring at her with wide eyes, not only wide eyes but also tears. Seeing him looking so terrible and sad, Elsa falls to her knees sobbing. As her knees fall into the soft snow, Elsa feels it hardening around her in a sheet of ice. She leans forward with a cry and drops her forehead right on the ice. Her legs were freezing as was her forehead, but she didn't care about that. She didn't care about the pain.

I deserve it. I cause people so much pain. I deserve it.

Elsa suddenly feels something lifting her up from the snow, or at least tries to lift her up. Elsa and the thing fall back in the snow and hears it laugh. Jack. Elsa looks over and sees Jack laughing to himself.

"Wow Elsa, you're a lot heavier than I thought you were going to be." Elsa just laid there, not making a sound, and gazed up at the moon in the sky.

The moon is so luck. It just sits up there, watching everyday life. It isolated from everything and everyone. I wonder if the moon ever hurt people. I wish I could be like the moon.
