I sat in the dark. Alone. Confused. Afraid. I hadn't heard the man upstairs in a while. He always comes down before he goes to bed to perform his- My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the door being opened upstairs. I sat there quietly, terrified of what was to come. Would he perform a new ritual tonight? I wondered. Maybe tonight he would finally just kill me.

End the pain and suffering he had given me for the last 6 years. He had brought others down here with me, but they wouldn't listen to him. I watched countless other girls get murdered here. When they didn't obey or try to escape he would get furious. He never took it out on me though, he always just beat every poor girl to death and all i could do was just there and hopelessly watch, praying that those poor girls made it to heaven.

I heard him walk down the stairs, feeling his cold, lifeless eyes watching me. "Hello Princess, how's my good little angel doing today?" I gulped as i looked back at him, barely being able to make him out in the darkness. "I-i'm doing fine."

He turned on the light that hung from the ceiling, worn and bloodstained. I squinted in the bright light, noticing he ha been beaten pretty badly. "Do you know what today is Princess?" I sat there trembling, afraid to get the answer wrong. "It's ok if you don't know Angel, it's been a long time." I gulped. "I-i'm sorry I don't know." He just smiled at me. "It's your birthday, remember?"

My breath hitched in my throat, trying to hold back tears. He smiled as he opened the gate, removing the padlock and stepping inside.

"My sweet, little Princess." He said as he brushed some hair out of my face. I could smell the alcohol in his breath making me want to cry more. He was even worse when he was drunk. I started to cry and he stopped, looking at me for the first time with a caring expression.

"What's wrong my Princess?" I sat there, silent for a while, before i got the courage to answer. "I-i don't want this... Please..." His face went from caring to cynical in the blink of an eye. "You don't get a say, remember Princess? You do what i ask or i'll kill more of them. And i'll make you watch, killing them slowly...and painfully...showing you their insides."

I shivered at the thought of seeing human internal organs again. That was my punishment when i did simple things to displease him such as screaming for help while he was gone or trying to help the other girls escape. I hated it. He would kill and gut them right in front of me, as if they were animals. I felt disgusted to be even remotely close to this THING.

He leaned over and kissed my cheek making me want to burst out in tears. "So what do you want for your 16th birthday Angel?" He asked as he kissed down my cheek towards my neck. "Name." He stopped and looked at me.

"What?" I looked him in the eyes, a stern expression on my face. "I want to know your name." He started to chuckle, his laughter turning cynical as he stood. "Out of all the things in the world you could have asked me for, you ask for my name?" I yelped as he picked me up and forced me against a wall. "You really think i would tell you my NAME?!"

I was frozen with terror, the sheer thought of him beating me making my legs shake. He raised he hand to slap me, but then stopped. I shook with fear, tears threatening to break free. He started to chuckle again, low and soft. "You will never know my name." He said as he slapped me hard across the face.

I yelped in pain as he dropped me to the floor and began kicking me. Can't i just die already? Please! What did i do to deserve this?! My thoughts screamed to break through the yells binding my mouth together. He kicked me hard in the head one last time before he stopped.

I couldn't think straight. My vision began to blur as i watched him close the gate and put on the padlock. As i tried to get up a sharp pain shot through my body, making me wince and bite my tongue to keep quiet.

My body was covered in blood. MY blood. I watched the man walk up the stairs, forgetting to turn off the light on the ceiling. I was thankful though. I was alive and i had a little bit of comfort from the light. I'd better not get up. There could be more damage than i know. I thought to myself.

I decided to just fall asleep where i was, not wanting to put more strain on my body. The world was drifting away as i started to fall asleep. Feeling at peace again. Maybe tonight i will die. I thought to myself, but my thoughts were interrupted by a knock in the window.

I drowsily opened my eyes to see him standing there. He smiled and me and mouthed, "Don't worry Taylor, i'm going to get you out of here." I smiled and mouthed back to him,"Thank you Keagan." I started to close my eyes again, but i heard him knock again.

I opened my eyes and he smiled at me. "I love you." My cheeks flushed and i mouthed back, "I love you too." Before either of us could say anything else i blacked out into a deep, peaceful sleep.
