It was 10:56PM and Rainbow was still up. She kind of wanted to go to bed, but soon found herself thinking otherwise when she read the newest book of Daring Do once more. She found that being the most comforting thing to think of when she wants to sleep or lucid dream, something she felt very lucky to still inherit. Unfortunately, she wasn't very tired, even

With the exception of her favorite mare in Ponyville, no, the world. Twilight Sparkle. Rainbow could, and would, ponder for hours over just the littlest things that Twilight's said to her. And she would sleep and dream about her, each time deciding that she had never slept better.

Rainbow held passionate feelings for Twilight, she truly did. At first, she tried to convince herself it was a phase, even talked to princess Cadence about it, and finally came to the conclusion that she was simply lovestruck. It felt so passionate, and so sappy and cliché, and she hated sounding sappy or sounding cliché.

She couldn't help but wonder if her beloved mare was awake as she read. So, without hesitation or even the slightest doubt in her curiosity, she slid her lightning-shaped bookmark into the rough pages of her book and headed over to her window, where she plopped her head down and let it rest there. A look that almost seemed like pouting grew on her face. Twilight's lights were on, and her window was open.

At first Rainbow chuckled to herself, unsurprised and amused upon seeing Twi up so late. And then she saw that her window was hanging wide open. She figured that in a matter of time, someone would close it, perhaps Spike. But just to be sure, Rainbow waited about 5 minutes before finally deciding that her window was to be open for the remainder of the night unless somepony alerted Twilight.

She knew what she had to do. She was proud of her work, making the snow and all, but it has it's cons. Seriously, it does. As Rainbow stood on her patio, she heard a sudden crash coming directly from Twilight's library. "I'm coming Twilight!" Rainbow shouted, unsure of whether anyone was to respond, or even hear her. And with that, she ran only a few paces forward before darting into the air and flying to Twilight as fast as she could.

Twilight and Spike were both wide awake, both of them very unsure of how to solve the problem at hand. Their window had been opened for hours now and they hadn't even realized.

"So you're telling me that you didn't feel cold at all, not even the slightest idea? You were just completely oblivious to the piles of snow in your room?" Twilight asked, with major annoyance ringing through her tone.

"Well, yeah," Her assistant, Spike, replied nervously, scratching the back of his head. "You do know I'm cold-blooded, right?" He reminded.

"Yes, I supposed that's true," Twilight admitted. "But we both need to clean this mess up nonetheless."

"But it's 11 o clock, Twilight. You know it wasn't my fault," he pleaded.

"No buts, this wasn't anypony's fault but nature. Unless you count Rainbow Dash and her weather te-"

Twilight was interrupted by a bright, multicolored blur that fled through the window, which she hadn't even yet closed. Spike and Twilight both looked down at Rainbow Dash.

"Heh...hey Twi," she said, nervously. She blew a strand of hair out of her face as she stood from the snow that had lessened her crash. "Uh, this window was... Yeah, you already know that, don't you..."

"You know, the doors are around back, downstairs, in case you were wondering," Twilight replied, playfully, eliciting a light blush from Rainbow. "Oh, and speaking of which, so is the broom. Spike, could you go get that for me?"

Spike gave her his famous army salute and was off.

"Alright, I'm not gonna lie, the reason I came over was to tell you about your window, but clearly you've already got that on lockdown," Rainbow said, trying to stay true. So, I dunno if this helps, but I think I saw Rarity standing outside your door just before..."

"...You crashed." Twilight finished.

"Yeah."

"What do you say we get some hot chocolate, me you and Rarity, if your eyes weren't deceiving you," Twilight offered, smiling hopefully, trying to cheer Rainbow out of her nervous state.

"Yeah, sure, that sounds cool," Rainbow replied, trying her best to keep her cool. There was no fooling Twilight. She saw through every bit of it, but she would never dare say a peep about it to anypony. That would ruin her reputation with Rainbow, and probably her other friends as well.

"What's taking Spike so long to get that broom? Twilight asked, leaving both her and Rainbow uncertain of who that question was addressed to. I'll go check on him, be right back." And then She closed the door behind her, leaving Rainbow Dash alone in Twilight's room.

Being herself, rainbow glanced at a couple of things around the room, out of boredom. One of her books were titled, "A Guide To Romance" and another, "99 Things You Didn't Know About Romance".

Rainbow wasn't exactly sure how to feel about the strange books. Next to one of them was a slip of parchment and a quill. She skimmed through it, and then she read something that shocked her.

Most expected relationship expectancy:
Least expected relationship expectancy: Fluttershy

Her book was opened to a page that read, "Relationships are often shared with those whom you would never expect."

Rainbow felt bad for Twilight. Her most likely relationship section was blank. But at the same time, she felt great.

'A mare...' she thought. 'Twilight likes mares.'

Another thing Rainbow found quite funny was that she had an assumed 'least expected' marefriend.

'She must not have picked up on the "You would least expect it" part,' Thought Rainbow.
