P R O L O G U E

Until recently, I have been climbing a stairway in a dark and endless tower. It was an endless climb, nothing but step after step after step. I wondered if I could ever get to the end and if I did what I would see. Would the summit be as dark as the climb or would it be bright?

"Aciel, it's time."

Now I'm finally at the top. No longer stranded alone, chasing after something that felt impossible to reach. I could not have done it alone. Mother, father, Eden, Sun, Arthur, Yue, Zula, I've finally reached the top. I can stand with my head held up as the doors open to the next level.

Just like how stars shine the brightest during the darkest of times, I believe it's the same for humans. After a tragedy we grow stronger as a person and shine brighter than before.

19 May 1308, Aciel Koi-Longwa succeeds Zula Ruruji and ascends the throne of Valleria.

- Nobility have a set last name being the name of their house (ex Zula Ruruji of the Ruruji house)

- Commoners take their family name from the parent/guardian of the same gender (ex. Eden Grace, her mother's name is Grace)

- bordered by Au Inden to the north, Mes to the east, Lu'es to the south, the top west half is boarded by Cusa'an and the bottom west by the desert

- home to Koi-Longwa House (Royal family), Ruruji House (Noble Family), Eden's family

- name derived from Sky King

2. Au Inden [Ow In-then]

- smallest faction in terms of population but the second strongest, guards the northern border to what was the Kingdom of Basileios. West is bordered by Cusa'an and south by Vatou, the east side is separated by mountains to Mes

- slogan: Iron Wall (they guard the northern border)

- colour: red

- symbol: ginko leaf

- name derived from Golden Rook

3. Lu'es [Loo-es]

- strongest and largest faction, win battles through shear strength, bottom half of the land is bordered by the sea, the top left by Vatou and top right by Mes

- slogan: Unstoppable Strength

- colour: green

- symbol: crane

- name derived from Moon Knight

4. Cusa'an [Coo-son]

- second largest in terms of population but least amount of military force, left half is surrounded by a desert, top right by Au Inden, and bottom right by Vatou

- slogan: Faith and Honour

- colour: blue

- symbol: koi fish in a circle

- name derived from Holy Bishop

5. Mes [Meh-s]

- second largest army, largest faction by population, bordered by the sea and Vatou. A mountain range separates it from Au Inden

- slogan: All For One

- colour: grey

- symbol: peacock

- name derived from Shadow Pawn
